Refund Policy
How cancellations and refunds work at Appendix.
The short version
You can cancel at any time. Any seat (person) who had no prescription written this cycle is fully refunded — no pro-rating, no partial credits. Once a prescription has been written for a person, that person’s seat is non-refundable for the current month, but you won’t be charged for them again.
Canceling your subscription
Cancel from your account page at any time. Refunds are calculated per seat:
- No prescription written for anyone this cycle: We cancel immediately and refund everything you paid this cycle in full (including any mid-cycle seat-add prorations). Refunds typically appear within 5–10 business days.
- Prescription written for some but not all people: We cancel immediately and refund the seat prices for every person who didn’t receive a prescription. The portion for people who did is non-refundable.
- Prescription written for everyone on the plan: Your subscription continues through the end of the current period and no further charges are made. The current month is not refundable, but you keep access until the renewal date.
Removing a family member (seat)
Each family member on your plan occupies a seat at $29/mo. The same rule applies per seat:
- No prescription written for that person this cycle: We remove them immediately and refund the full $29 for that seat to your card on file. The seat was unused — no pro-rating.
- A prescription was written for that person this cycle: Their seat ends on the next renewal date. They keep access until then; after that, your monthly bill drops by $29/mo.
- Edge case: If you added a seat mid-cycle (paying a prorated charge less than $29) and remove it the same cycle, the refund is capped at what you actually paid.
Why this rule exists
A completed physician review and prescription is the service you pay for. The non-refundable rule applies only after that service has been delivered in the current cycle, and only to the month in which it was delivered. It prevents abuse (subscribe, get an Rx, immediately cancel for a refund) while keeping cancellations fair and easy for anyone who hasn’t yet used the service that month.
