Appendix has two tiers of availability. The Knowledge Base is free and open everywhere. Clinical services — physician review and prescriptions — require a paid subscription and are available in a growing list of U.S. states.
Knowledge Base — available worldwide
Our medical Knowledge Base, the conditions list, and AI-assisted drafting tools are available worldwide at no cost, regardless of where you live. No account or subscription is required to search them.
Clinical services — 18 U.S. states
Physician review and prescriptions are offered by paid subscription to residents of the following 18 U.S. states:

We are actively expanding. If your state isn't listed yet, you can still use the Knowledge Base for free, but you won't be able to subscribe or complete checkout for physician review until Appendix goes live in your state.
Your state of residence is checked automatically at checkout, so there's nothing extra you need to do to confirm eligibility.
